Holland America Cruises 2021 / 2022 2021 promises to be an exciting year for Holland America, especially with the arrival of the new MS Rotterdam. The 2, 660-guest ship will make her debut in August and will offer cruises in Northern Europe, Iceland and the Caribbean. Holland America's 2021 cruise schedule will also include an expanded period in Canada & New England, with over 13 itineraries available between April and October. Holland America Line will begin 2022 with a Grand World Voyage aboard Zaandam. The Holland America Dining Experience Dining with Holland America is a journey within itself. Perfection is seen throughout, with creativity, flavour and presentation being second to none. Dining on board is flexible with guests having plenty of freedom. The main dining room offers two sittings, 5. 45pm and 8pm. The other is reserved seating to welcome guests as they arrive. About those odd-sounding names Holland America is an American-owned cruise line, but its ship names derive from the line's historic lineage of ship names throughout the decades — for example, Zuiderdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam and Noordam are named for the south, east, west and north points of the compass in Dutch appended with "dam. " Age restrictions & kids' programs A child needs to be at least 6 months old for most sailings and at least 12 months old for transocean sailings. There are no programs for kids under 3, though babysitting services are available. Programs cover age groups 3 to 7; 8 to 12 and 13 to 17. Children's facilities include teen lounges, game stations and computer stations.
