It's definitely not a beach for those seeking complete solitude, but nevertheless, it is still possible to find your own slice of sand away from other sunbathers. Spend the day swimming and playing in the water or descend into the underwater world for a bit of snorkeling, the best of which can be found along the northern end near the Sheraton. In the evening, take a leisurely sunset stroll down this extensive beach. Arrive at the northern end just in time for the infamous cliff diving ceremony, where a cliff diver reenacts a historical feat by King Kahekili. Torches along the cliff will be lit before making the dramatic dive from Puu Kekaa, or Black Rock, into the waters below. Located at the northern end of the stunning Wailua Beach Path lies Ulua Beach. The beach path at this point has become a picturesque wooden boardwalk, which meanders along Ulua's shoreline. Be sure to pack your snorkel and fins for your oceanside stroll, because Ulua Beach offers some of the island's best snorkeling.
